What is the definition and difference between plywood, particleboard and medium density fiberboard?

Plywood is a board-like material made of 3 or more layers (usually odd layers) of wood veneers arranged in staggered grain directions through adhesives. Usually the veneer grain directions of adjacent layers are arranged perpendicular to each other.

Particleboard is a board made of shaving materials (such as wood shavings, flax shavings, rice husks, bagasse, etc.) made of wood or non-woody plants without sizing and auxiliary materials.

MDF is a wood-based panel made of wood that is separated from fibers, then shaped and hot-pressed.

Judgment by eyes: From the side view, the plywood is obviously delaminated, the three adjacent sides of the MDF are not very different, and the end face of the particleboard can see obvious coarse particle material.

Differences in material properties: plywood has high structural strength and good toughness; medium density fiberboard has uniform material and good processing performance; particleboard is cheap and has high surface hardness.
